       A number of Mr. Neuman's cases have received national attention. In 1992, for example, Mr. Neuman gained renown for obtaining a reversal of Lemrick Nelson's civil rights conviction – Click here to see a New York Times article discussing that decision. which arose out of the so-called "Crown Heights" riots – on the basis of a novel argument pertaining to jury selection.

       Other newsworthy clients have included: a former world champion boxer; an alleged member of Al Qaeda; a man accused of hijacking a plane to Cuba in 1968; and a New York City politician accused of corruption.  Most clients, naturally, prefer to avoid media attention.  Mr. Neuman takes pride in representing all clients with equal dedication, regardless of their notoriety.
